Challenge

Our client, a multinational company in the Food & Beverage industry, required the improvement and evolution of internal global standards. This was needed because they had very large environments that made interfacing and interoperability with centralized non-OT systems a challenge.

A number of projects needed a flexible approach on available resources to work within time and budget. The project also included working with large numbers of third parties involved in a multitude of systems and applications working in the customer's historic setup.

Solution

Our Manufacturing IT experts created an operational and implementation team specifically for the OT environment. The dedicated implementation team was responsible for handling OT infra-implementation projects from request over purchasing, configuration/installation, and cooperation.

The dedicated operational team handled incidents, and requests and most of all operated based on advanced systems monitoring.

Benefits

  • Integrated approach between implementation and the operational team adds value given the fast improvements and resource sharing for specialised matter out of bound activity.
  • Tailor made non-impacting patching processes for production, improvement of high available environments and extensive insight, monitoring, and backup of SQL.
